T-ball

Jackson participated in MFL Mar Mac Youth Rec's t-ball this summer.  He had a pretty good time.  He only made it to 4 games due to rain outs (they don't make up games) and Vacation Bible School.  The week he had bible school I let him decide if he wanted to go to VBS or t-ball and he chose VBS (Mommy was proud).

I seriously do not think there is anything cuter or funnier than a bunch of 5-6 year olds playing t-ball.

The pictures are from the very last game.  He pulled his socks up himself...remind you of anybody?  Yes, that would be his Uncle Mike :)

1st Annual Don & Arlene Sass Family Reunion

The first annual Don & Arlene Sass Family reunion was held last weekend at the campsite.  It was a great day spent with family!

The day was spent eating, playing in the water, eating, fishing, eating, blowing bubbles, eating, horse wagon rides, eating, field trip to our new house, eating, sparklers/fireworks and eating.  It was truly a great day spent with family.
This was a little riddle that Erin and Wes came up with.  They wanted to get can koozies for everyone but ran out of time.  I figured it out!  Can you?

Kitchen

My new kitchen is almost done.  Finally.  I've been patiently waiting for the kitchen this entire time.  I think the kitchen is the best room in the house, any house that is.
I am standing on the very first stair step to take this picture.  This room used to be the living room.  The stairs behind me are in the same place only they were widened and lengthened.
View from the dining room.  Again, the kitchen is where the living room was.  The doorway was widened.  Stairs are around the corner on the left.  The hole next to the sink is where the dishwasher will go.  We plan to stain a board to cover the back side.
I'm standing in the southeast corner of the room.  I picked out very different cabinets and countertops for this kitchen compared to my present kitchen.  I LOVE them.  We are obviously waiting for the new appliances (dishwasher, stove/oven and microwave) to be installed.  We are keeping our fridge, it will go in the space on the left under the small cabinet.  The doorway in the middle is the pantry.  Floor also needs to be completed.

The most popular question we hear lately is "when will you move".  Our plan is to be moved in prior to school starting.  No, it will not be finished at that time but it will be livable.  Now that we will have a kindergartner who will ride the bus I want to start that routine at the new place, rather than start here in Farmersburg and then change it up later.  So, hopefully in about 6 weeks there will be a post on here about moving!
